Headbands - Beginner Sewing Pattern & Video Tutorial

Sew your own headbands! Headbands are perfect for beginner sewers or anyone who likes a practical and easy project. They are a great way to use up scraps and can be stitched up in no time. To elevate your headband and keep it in place, use velvet for the lining and non-slip elastic. The pattern comes with 2 sizes and the elastic can be adjusted for a perfect fit.

Supplies To Make the Headbands

¼ yard of cotton fabric
¼ yard of cotton velveteen fabric (optional)
5" piece of ½" elastic
Shapeflex Interfacing or light weight interfacing

This sewing pattern is designed to teach new or young sewers how to follow sewing instructions.  Students with a little experience may be able to follow by themselves.  Younger students may need help, but read the directions carefully together and encourage them to figure out each step.  This is a simple project, so the focus can really be on reading and following each step.
