Suggested fabrics: Quilt weight cotton, canvas, waxed canvas, denim, or home decor fabric works well for the exterior of your zipper pouch. A lightweight woven fabric like quilting cotton or chambray is ideal for the lining.

You will need the following project supplies or you can purchase a full kit for this project

  • 1/4 yard of exterior fabric for the small and medium OR 3/8 yard of exterior fabric for the large
  • 1/4 yard of interior fabric for the small and medium OR 3/8 yard of interior fabric for the large
  • (1) 4.5mm zipper that is at least 14 inches long
  • 1/4 yard of fusible fleece for the small and medium OR 3/8 yard of fusible fleece interfacing, such as Pellon 987F
  • 1/4 yard of woven interfacing for the small and mediumOR 3/8 yard of light woven interfacing, such as Pellon SF101

You will use these sewing basics (not included)
Thread, a sewing machine, a zipper foot, fabric and paper scissors, a fabric marking pen or pencil, pins or clips, an iron and ironing board
