If you have not taken a class with us before, please sign up for the beginner sewing workshop or contact us before signing up.
Our weekly sessions are run as ongoing classes in blocks rather than specific project based classes. Enrollment is rolling Each block or sewing session offers a variety of projects and skills including machine sewing and hand sewing. Classes are for ages 7+. All supplies are included in the class fee.
If your child does not have previous sewing experience, please sign them up for the Beginner Sewing Workshop before their first class.
We like to encourage new students to work on a few specific projects in their first few weeks to build on their core skills and build confidence. After that all students are encouraged to select from any of our class projects. We try to accommodate special requests and projects within reason. We have lots of options to chose from and are always coming up with new ideas!
We keep class enrollment small so that each student is given individual attention and full use of all classroom amenities. This helps students to get to know each other and maximize their creativity.
Classes run for 1 hr and 15 minutes. The last 5 minutes of classes are used to tidy up the workstations and classroom.
Please do not drop off any earlier than 5 minutes prior to class.
If you are running late to pick up your child, please call the shop.
Payment is required before the first class.
All payments can be made online or in the shop by credit card, gift card, cash or check.

Refunds & Absence Policy
Cancellations and transfers may NOT be done through the website. You will need to contact the shop directly.
There are no refunds for missed days due to changed work or vacation schedules, sick days or other non-emergency reasons. If there is a spot open in another class we will try to arrange a makeup. All classes must be made up within the session. Only 1 makeup is allowed per 6 week session.
Refunds and transfers must be requested at least 10 days prior to the session from which you are withdrawing. Transfers may only be made from one session to another session.
Refunds are not allowed for those who register within 10 days prior to a session’s start.
Please let me know how many sessions you are thinking that your child may attend. If you are planning on leaving sewing class I would appreciate a 3 week notice so that I can offer up the space to a child on the waiting list.
We will go by the Melrose Public School system for weather delays and closures.
